Renault Boreal in Egypt: three trims and prices from EGP 1,470,000

The Egyptian International Motors (EIM), Renault's sole agent in Egypt, announced the official launch of the Renault Boreal. Prices start from EGP 1,470,000.

The Boreal is a C-SUV. It comes in three trims: Evolution, Techno and Iconic.

Abdel Rahman Sultan, general manager of Renault Egypt, said the launch is an important step in the company's strategy to strengthen the French brand's presence and widen its model range in the local market.

Engine and size

• Engine: 1.3-litre turbo, 150 hp, 250 Nm of torque.
• Gearbox: 6-speed automatic dual-clutch (Wet DCT), with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
• Length 4556 mm, width 1833 mm, height 1652 mm.
• Wheelbase 2701 mm, ground clearance 222 mm.
• Boot space 586 litres, rising to 1770 litres with the 60/40 split rear seats folded.
• Fuel tank 55 litres.

Tech

All trims have a 10.1-inch central touchscreen with built-in Google services. That covers Google Maps, Google Assistant and the Google Play Store. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported too.

An eSIM provides connected services. The My Renault app, once services and connection are activated, gives remote access to some functions. These include the lights, the horn to help find the car, its location and the last odometer reading.

The car supports Anghami and Spotify. Iconic gets a Harman Kardon sound system.

Safety and comfort

Every trim has 6 airbags.

Iconic adds lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, 360-degree surround cameras and automatic parking.

The cabin has dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear air vents and four USB-C ports front and rear. Techno and Iconic have a 10.1-inch digital instrument screen and ambient lighting with 48 colours.

Iconic alone adds a black roof, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats and a driver's seat with memory and massage functions.
