The global version has new sport wheel designs. Sizes run from 17 to 20 inches depending on the trim. A new colour, Plasma Shadow, joins white, gray, green, black and blue.
Size
According to the global specifications:
- Length: 4,705 mm
- Width: 1,890 mm
- Wheelbase: 2,680 mm
- Height: about 1,710 mm
Cabin
The centre console has a new design with practical storage space. The steering wheel is new, with two spokes. The electronic gear selector has a traditional shape, close to a gear lever.
The car also gets an integrated climate control panel with a display, so the main functions are easier to reach and rely less on the screens.
The global equipment includes the Athena 2.5 infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless software updates. This is based on the equipment announced for the Korean version.
The boot holds 703 litres, and 1,662 litres with the rear seats folded.
Engine and gearbox
The global facelifted Torres uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo engine. It makes up to 170 horsepower and a maximum torque of 300 Nm.
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox made by Aisin. It replaces the 6-speed automatic of the previous version.
The announced fuel consumption of the front-wheel-drive Korean version is about 11 litres per 100 km, for a trim with 17-inch wheels.
The all-wheel-drive versions get a Terrain Mode system. It offers driving modes for sand, mud, snow and gravel by adjusting how power is distributed to suit the road.
