Chery unveils new-generation Tiggo 7 and Tiggo X7 in Beijing

Chery unveiled the new generation of the Tiggo 7 and the Tiggo X7. The reveal took place at a ceremony at the Wohu Grand Theatre in Beijing.
The two models take different directions for families. The Tiggo 7 focuses on comfort and practicality in daily city driving. The Tiggo X7 is aimed at families who prefer trips outside the city and off-road exploring.
Tiggo 7
The design draws on the power of the tiger, with modern lines. The cabin is inspired by yacht design and offers roomy, flexible space.
The car has front seats with adjustable height and rear backrests that can be adjusted. A climate system provides heating and cooling.
On safety, the Tiggo 7 series earned five-star ratings from four international and regional bodies: C-NCAP, Euro NCAP, ANCAP and ASEAN NCAP.
The new car uses a cage-style body, with more than 80% high-strength steel. It has more than 20 active safety and driver assistance functions.
The Tiggo 7 series is sold in more than 75 overseas markets. The new generation aims to strengthen its global presence among family SUVs.
Tiggo X7
Chery presented the Tiggo X7 as the first production model in the Tiggo X series. Its design is inspired by American cars. It is built for off-road driving and also covers daily commuting.
According to the announced specifications, it has:
- Three levels of driving modes.
- A chassis made for varied terrain.
- A crawl control system for off-road driving.
- Ground clearance of more than 200 mm.
- Water wading depth of up to 700 mm.
- A camera system with a 540-degree view, to help the driver watch the surroundings and handle hard terrain.
The cabin has a system that manages six dimensions of comfort: temperature, humidity, air quality, air cleanliness, quiet, and the option to customise settings. The second-row seats fold with one touch to free up space for luggage and camping gear.
