Some traders and distributors have imposed an overprice of up to EGP 90,000 on the Chery Arizo 5. It sits on top of the price announced by the local agent.
The overprice came after the official increase. GB Auto, Chery's exclusive local agent in Egypt, raised the price of the 2027 Arizo 5 facelift by EGP 5,000. The Arizo 5 is the cheapest model of the Chinese brand in the local market. After the increase, the unofficial rise appeared in the immediate delivery market.

Engine and gearbox
The Arizo 5 has a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 114 hp. The first trim has a manual gearbox. The two higher trims have a CVT automatic.
The car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds. Average fuel use is about 7 litres per 100 km.
Safety
The car has traction control (TCS), ABS, electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and hill start assist (HSAC). It also has 4 airbags and an ESM system that warns about exceeding speed limits.
