SN Automotive, the exclusive local agent for Dongfeng in Egypt, has set Saturday 31 October as the official date for the reveal of the electric Dongfeng Mage. It is an SUV.
The electric Mage is described as the first locally assembled electric car carrying the "Made in Egypt" mark. Its local content is above 30%, and it uses a 50 kWh battery.
The petrol Mage came first
A petrol Mage is already on sale in Egypt. It is imported from the company's factories in China and comes in two trims.
- Highline: official price starts from EGP 1,190,000.
- Signature: about EGP 1,290,000.
Both are 2026 models.
Petrol Mage specs
- Engine: 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo, up to 204 hp and 305 Nm of torque between 2000 and 4000 rpm.
- Gearbox: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic DSG, front-wheel drive.
- Top speed: about 190 km/h. 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.
- Fuel: 51-litre tank, declared average of 6.8 litres per 100 km.
- Size: 4.650 m long, 1.905 m wide, 1.630 m high, with a 2.775 m wheelbase.
- Suspension: MacPherson struts at the front, multi-link at the rear.
Inside and equipment
It supports Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The seats are leather, and the driver's seat is power-adjustable.
Outside, it has LED front and rear lights, 19-inch sport wheels, power mirrors and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety includes ABS, EBD, ESP and airbags. Driver assistance includes blind-spot monitoring.
