Kasrawy Group opened a new JAC showroom in Sheikh Zayed City. At the same time, it launched the all-new JAC RF8 PHEV in Egypt at EGP 2,795,000.
The RF8 PHEV is the first hybrid and the first MPV in Egypt from the Chinese brand. It comes in one trim only, Flagship, at a launch price of EGP 2,795,000.
What the company said
Mostafa Hussein, vice president of Kasrawy Group for cars, said JAC is an important part of the group's brand portfolio. He said the new showroom is part of the group's expansion plan. He added that the group wants to cover the full ownership journey, including after-sales service, maintenance and original spare parts.
Seif Badawi, managing director of JAC Egypt, said the RF8 PHEV offers a seven-seat option with a plug-in hybrid system, aimed at families and customers who want space and practicality.
Powertrain and battery
- Engine: 1.5-liter turbo petrol with GDI direct injection, and a custom three-speed hybrid transmission.
- Drive: front-wheel drive.
- Maximum total power: 416 hp. Maximum total torque: 745 Nm.
- Battery: 27.59 kWh LFP with liquid cooling, made by CALB.
- Pure electric range: up to 150 km. Declared total range: 1150 km on the CLTC cycle.
- Fuel tank: 54 liters.
- Fast charging: up to 40 kW, taking the battery from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes. Slow charging takes about 4.5 hours.
- V2L output: 3.3 kW.
Size and cabin
The car is 5215 mm long, 1895 mm wide and 1830 mm high, with a 3100 mm wheelbase. It has seven seats in three rows (2+2+3) and five doors. Boot space ranges from 700 to 2500 liters.
Inside, it has leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen. It also has a 12-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a panoramic roof and electric sliding side doors. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Safety and driver assistance
The car has front, side and curtain airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC and ISOFIX mounts in the second and third rows. It also has an ADAS Level 2 package that includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection and lane keeping assistance. A 540-degree panoramic camera and front and rear parking sensors are fitted too.
Warranty
The car has a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. The battery has an extended warranty of 8 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first.
