Used Cars Under EGP 500,000 in Egypt

Getting the most from a capped budget

When your ceiling is fixed, the trade-off is usually between a newer car with less equipment and an older car with more, or between a smaller car in good condition and a larger one that has seen harder use. Decide what you cannot compromise on, whether that is automatic transmission, air conditioning that works properly, seating for the family or low running costs, and let the rest flex. Keep some of the budget aside for the immediate costs after purchase, such as licence transfer, a service, tyres or small repairs, rather than spending every pound on the asking price.

Asking price is the start of the conversation

Because this page filters on what sellers are asking, two similar cars can appear at very different prices for reasons that have nothing to do with their condition. Use the listing details, photos, mileage and model year to judge whether a price makes sense, then inspect the car in person before you talk numbers. A car that sits just under this limit is not automatically better than one well below it, so treat the number as information about the seller's expectations, not as a verdict on the car.
