Used Cars for Sale in Cairo

Ask how the car was actually driven

Cairo is the location the seller set for the car as it is listed now; it does not tell you where the car has spent its life or how it was driven. Ask the seller directly: mostly city traffic or mostly highway, private use or working use, and for how long. Slow stop-and-go driving with the air conditioning running wears clutches, brakes, suspension and cooling systems differently from highway use, so if the answer is a lot of city driving, pay particular attention to how it idles in traffic, how the air conditioning copes when stationary, and whether the suspension is quiet over speed bumps and broken tarmac.

Arranging a viewing in the city

The listing tells you where the seller says the car is now, so agree with the seller on where and when you can see it before you plan anything. Ask to view the car in daylight and in a place where you can walk all the way around it, start it from cold and take it on a short drive that includes both congested streets and a faster stretch. Bring someone who knows cars if you are not confident yourself, and check the paperwork and licence on the spot rather than after you have agreed on a price.
