The announced cuts start at 60,000 pounds on the small Suzuki Swift hatchback. They reach more than 1,000,000 pounds on the large Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV.
Some dealers also offered instalment plans with lower interest or longer repayment periods.
Why now
Majid Mostafa, a sales and marketing expert, spoke on a radio programme. He said some of the offers aim to clear older models, as the end of 2026 gets close. Those cars become previous-year models once the new year's models arrive.
He also said such offers are normal given the tough competition. Chinese cars are pushing against European, Korean, Japanese and American brands. In his view, that pushes dealers to offer real deals to move sales and make room for new models.
Possible extra fees
Mostafa added that some offers may come with costs on the buyer's side, such as administrative fees.
The market mood
The market is cautious. The geopolitical situation in the Middle East could bring a wave of inflation if supply chains in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean are disrupted. Shipping and insurance costs are also rising.
