How we write car pros and cons
We write what the sources say about each generation, without verdicts on the car. The decision is yours.
When an item goes live
A pro or con goes live only when at least two independent sources back it, or one official source such as the service manual or a recall notice. Safety items need an official source. If a point comes from a single forum only, it stays with us for review and is not published.
The sources we use
Manufacturer service manuals and owner's manuals, official recall notices and crash-test results, motoring press, owner reports from Egyptian groups and forums, and workshop accounts. We link only to official sources and the press. We read groups and forums but do not link to them.
How we gather and check them
The Hatgebk team gathers, groups and summarises the sources, then reviews each point: the number and types of supporting sources, that the generation, years, engine and gearbox are right, and that no verdict or number appears without a source. Points that fail these checks are not published.
The review date
Every page shows when its pros and cons were last reviewed. That date changes only when we re-check the items against the sources, not with changes to the page's appearance.
The pros and cons on Hatgebk are Hatgebk's opinion, based on owner reports and published sources, for the Egyptian market only. They are not an inspection of a particular car or a legal claim. Before you buy, have the car checked by a mechanic you trust.
